🏆 Emerging Physiatrist Award – 2025
This prestigious award will honor a physiatrist who, within a short span of professional practice, has shown exemplary contributions to the advancement of rehabilitation medicine in Bangladesh and holds promise for future leadership in the specialty.
Eligibility Criteria
1. Qualified physiatrist having MD/FCPS/PhD/DPMR or equivalent in PM&R.
2. Typically, within 5–10 years of completing postgraduate training.
3. Actively practicing and contributing to the field of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation in Bangladesh
4. Must be a life member/general member of BSPMR and enrolled in BSPMRCON 2025.
Selection Criteria:
1. Clinical Excellence: High-quality patient care and innovative rehabilitation practices.
2. Research & Academic Contribution: Publications, presentations, projects, and grants.
3. Education & Mentorship: Teaching, workshops, and guidance to junior colleagues.
4. Professional Leadership & Service: Involvement in PM&R societies, advocacy, and organizational roles.
5. Community Engagement: Outreach, rehabilitation programs, disability advocacy.
Evaluation Criteria
1. Clinical Contribution (30%)
• Demonstrates excellence in patient care across rehabilitation domains (neuro, musculoskeletal, pain, pediatric, spinal cord, etc.).
• Introduces or promotes innovative practices or procedures (e.g., ultrasound-guided interventions, botulinum toxin use, robotics, tele-rehab).
• Expands accessibility of rehabilitation services in underserved or rural areas.
2. Research & Academic Achievements (25%)
• First/lead-author publications in indexed/BMDC recognized journals.
• Presentations at national and international conferences.
• Ongoing involvement in research projects or having received grants/recognitions.
3. Education & Training (15%)
• Participation in teaching and training of medical students, residents, and allied health professionals.
• Contribution to CME, workshops, or new curriculum development.
• Evidence of mentoring younger colleagues.
4. Professional & Society Involvement (15%)
• Active role in PM&R organizations (BSPMR, ISPRM, AAPMR, etc.).
• Engagement in policy, advocacy, or organizational activities.
• Contribution to building the visibility of the specialty.
5. Community Service & Advocacy (15%)
• Efforts in community-based rehabilitation programs.
• Activities in disability rights, patient education, public health advocacy.
• Initiatives promoting awareness of rehabilitation medicine.
Submission Guidelines:
1. Interested candidates must submit a detailed CV with NID and a portfolio of achievements under the evaluation titles (research, publications, scholarships, clinical services, leadership, social & community work). (A short PPT about your biography focusing achievements is appreciating).

A jury board formed by 5 Eminent Professors of PM&R will select the candidate according to the selection criteria.

🏆 BSPMR Research Inspiration Award – 2025
This award is designed to honor promising young researchers who demonstrate excellence, innovation, and commitment in advancing the science and practice of rehabilitation medicine.
Eligibility:
1. Any postgraduate student of PM &R having at least one scientific article, currently enrolled in MD/ FCPS programs.
2. Research related to the field of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation will be prioritized.
3. Must be a life member/general member of BSPMR and enrolled in BSPMRCON 2025.
Selection Criteria
1. Originality and quality of research work (50%).
2. Number of Publications and conference presentations (30%).
3. Contribution to academic and community rehabilitation activities (10%).
4. Demonstrated future potential for leadership in research and clinical practice (10%).
Submission Guidelines
1. A brief CV (A short PPT about your biography focusing achievements is appreciating)
2. Applicants must submit a copy of their research work (published or accepted for presentation/publication) along with a brief CV.
